Meleah & Corey
/ BLUE RIDGE /
Meleah and Corey jumped at the chance to be photographed at the top of Craggy Gardens for their engagement session, but North Carolina weather had a different idea for the day. We all packed up in the wee hours of the morning and headed up to the Asheville Blue Ridge Mountains. To our surprise once we got there, the road up the Blue Ridge trail was closed down due to ice and snow. Did I mention, that the weather gave us no indicator of this?! We decided to not give up, and went on an excursion through small towns and country roads trying to find another route to our destination.
After at least a 20 mile round about route, and what felt like a 10 mile excursion on a dirt road, we came to a halt right before we got to the road that we were hoping to get on! We could literally see it, but there was a gate closed so we had to turn around. So we made lemonade with the lemons we were handed, and it turned out to be oh so perfect! We came across a beautiful river nestled in the woods with a waterfall that made our session. It just shows, that fate has it's own way of finding your perfect path. Thank you Meleah and Corey for such a fun engagement adventure! MILK + HONEY had such a blast hanging out with you all for our mountain morning.
